MAKES TWO ATTEMPTS ON LIFE Man Saved From Suicide By Aged Veteran Of Russo-Turkish War. Nathan Slavsky, 34 years old, of Washington, D. C., attempted to take his life with a hatchet yesterday following a dispute with his wife, who is living with her father, Louis Polsky, 219 South Bond street. Slavsky came to Baltimore Sunday and tried to persuade his, wife to gO to Washington with him. She refused and in the argument that followed Slavsky drew a tried to cut his throat, but Polsky took it away from him. He then entered the next room and inflicted severe cuts on his head with a hatchet. He was treated by Dr. Herman Seidel, Pratt and Washington streets. During the brief struggle,, Polsky, who is 74 years old, was slightly injured about the hand and arm. He is a veteran of the Russo-Turkish War and still bears several scars from wounds received while in action.
