On April 12, 2003 MORTON PLATT, beloved husband of Ruth "Ruby" Platt (nee Herbst), loving father of Stephen Platt of Plantation, FL. and Sheryl Platt Giese of Boca Raton, FL., dear father-in-law of Anita Platt and Ray Giese, adored brother of Irvin, George and David Platt, all of Baltimore and Ann Seigel of Connecticut and the late Mildred and Dr. William Platt, loving grandfather of five and great-grandfather of three.
Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS. INC., 8900 Reisterstown Rd. at Mt. Wilson Lane on Monday April 14 10 A.M. Interment at Beth Jacob Congregation Cemetery, Finksburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Beth Jacob Synagogue, 5713 Park Heights Avenue (21215) or the Boca Raton Synagogue, 7900 Montoya Circle, Boca Raton, FL (33433) or the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA (30329). Miss Ruth Ruby Herbst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herbst, of 3822 Menlo Drive, and Technical Sergeant Morton Platt, USA, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Platt, of 3508 Chapel road, were married May 22 in Shaarei Tfiloh Synagogue. Rabbi Bernard Lander and Rabbi Nathan Drazin officiated.
Miss Bernice Herbst, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Dr. William Platt, brother of the groom, was best man. Another sister of the bride. Miss Beatrice Herbst; a sister of the groom, Miss Mildred Platt, and Miss Helen Switzer were bridesmaids. Two brothers of the groom, Staff Sergeant Irving Platt and Private David Platt, were ushers.
Sergeant and Mrs. Platt went to Atlantic City for their wedding trip, and Mrs. Platt will live near her husband's station at Camp Phillips, Kansas. |
