NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary L. Joynes, 62, widow of Herbert Joynes and daughter of the late Israel and Etta Pearl Lazarus, died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Baltimore and a resident of Norfolk for 40 years, residing at 7244 Remsen St. at the time of her death.
She is survived by one son, Edwin Silverman of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Frank and Phil Lazarus of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Rae Schunick of St. Petersburg, Fla, and Mrs. Esther Levinson and Miss Tillie Lazarus of Baltimore.
Funeral services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral apartments today at 3 p.m. by Rabbi Paul Reich of Beth El Temple. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. |
