Rebecca S. Rosin is buried at Hebrew Friendship Cemetery in the family plots purschased by Carrie Silverman. The birthdate on her gravestone matches the birth certicate (November 20, 1883) and the date of death is July 5, 1930. A letter in the cemetery files from her sister Zelda identify Rebecca's "widower" as Mr. Simon Rosin, of Arcadia, Florida. No stone for Simon is apparent at the site, and the file indicates that one space is reserved for Simon Rosen [sic]. However, when I viewed the site, I did not see a marker for Simon Rosin. I did find a Simon Rosin in the Social Security Death Index (SSAN 263-76-3030), who is almost assuredly Rebecca's husband. A resident of Florida (zip code 33577), Simon Rosin was born March 25, 1883 and died December 1966. At least two other Rosins are buried in the family plot. A stone for a David Rosin bears the dates August 7, 1936 - August 14, 1936. The files also list the burial of "Baby Rosen" [sic] on August 18, 1936, and a map in the files indicates the presence of a "Reba" who may or may not be a Rosin

Simon Rosin, c. 1905. Simon Rosin came to Arcadia in 1905 as a peddler and opened a dry goods store. He married Rebecca Silverman of Baltimore in 1906. In 1907, their son Aurel was the first Jewish child born in the area but not the first Jewish child born directly with Sarasota-Manatee.
