MGR; AS. In 1996, Madeline Goldie Rubenstein wrote that her mother was buried in new section and father in old section of Anshe Amuna, later identified as United Hebrew Cemetery. Date of birth (month, year) provided by the 1900 census when Cima was a student and lived with her parents. However, a birth certificate recorded under the names of Harris and Rebecca indicates that a child was born circa July 25, 1889. The certificate itself (number A-13478) is missing. I have assumed that this is the certificate for Cima, although it is possible that an otherwise unknown child was born to Harris and Rebecca a year to the month before Cima, and died young. Cima is buried in the new section of United Hebrew Cemetery near the parking lot, while her husband and parents are buried in the old section. The Cemetery is called Anshe Emunah. {ed.:Anshe Emunah was a Baltimore congregration which merged with Aitz-Chaim in 1961, to form Liberty Jewish Center. MGR. She long survived a mastectomy at age twenty. ES. Aunt Cima, Mrs. Louis Goldie, lived at 2533 Smith Ave., Baltimore Md. 21209. Louis died of strep before sulpha drugs were available, at age 33 when he and Cima had been married only six years. AS. He was a toy manufacturer. MGR. GOLDIE - On February 15, 1923, at 6:30 P.M. Louis, beloved husband of Cima Goldie. Funeral at his late residence, 3312 Evergreen terrace, on Friday afternoon, February 16, at 2 o'clock. Interment private. (please omit flowers.)
