Identified as a sibling by SS, although always with a question mark by her name. Even in conversation he was uncertain just who Lena was. In the 1880 census, a Lena Buckner, age 16, is living with Simon Buckner and his family as a "boarder" on Harrison Street, the street of other Buckners and Silvermans. She was born in Poland, as were both her parents. True to form, no last name is actually written. Like other family members other than the head of household, a line or dash indicates the last name is the same. The mystery about Lena was largely resolved by a descendent of hers, Don Harris, 606 Evesham Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21212. In January, 2001, he supplied the following information about Lena Buckner, and all of the information about her descendents. Lena Buckner, b. 1865, d. April 1, 1927 in Baltimore and buried at Hebrew Friendship Cemetery; m. Heyman Harris, b.1866, d. March 23, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland. In a later email, Don Harris reports that Lena's death certificate gives her birth as August 18, 1866, or maybe the 28th, although her tombstone says 1865. The date of death is April 1, 1927, and she lived in Baltimore for 55 years, suggesting that she immigrated in 1872. She and her parents are also recorded as all born in Warsaw. The informant for the certificate was Hyman Harris.

According to 1880 Census. Lived at 84 Harrison Street. Lists Head of household and child as Simon, and wife as Esther. Lists Simon (Solomon) and Esther (Schina Esther) as both being 35. List Simon as 11, Rachel as 7, and Abram as 3. Also list Lena (which was Solomon's younger sister) as boarder and age is 16.
