Text:
Ceil Harris and Morris Robinson had two children, Shirley and Herbert Robinson. Shirley married Israel Feld. Herbert married Evelyn Rappaport, and together they had two children, Paul and Linda. In an e-mail to Don Harris [DH] forwarded to me, Herbert Robinson wrote in January, 2002: "Don... I was glad to have a look at your exchange with Will on the family ties. There isn't a lot I can contribute to the discourse, but I do remember Lena' s brother and sister, and can picture them quite clearly. Uncle Louie [Buckner] was a distinguished looking man with an impressive white mustache. Aunt Becky [Rebecca Buckner Silverman] was a household word with us. On any family event or gathering, my mother always said, "we have to go for Aunt Becky's sake." We repeated that line dozens of times over the years, as a sort of inside family humor". The only other Buckner I can recall is Aunt Frances, whom I would call a cousin rather than a sibling. She was Norman Kal's mother, and he had quite a bit of influence on my choice of advertising as a career." [Perhaps Frances was Louis Buckner's second wife. - WPO.] DH.
