Notes HOWARD BURMAN:
Mr. Burman was talented a writer and advertising man. He was editor of the Baltimore Home News, a popular weekly publication that was the first of its kind in that it was a non-subscription, free "throw away". This was the forerunner of many such as City News, Northwest Star, Owings Mills Times, etc. Mr. Burman was also a Baltimore theatre critic for "Variety", the national show paper. He was active in many civic and local causes, having been awarded a presentation from the National Conference of Christians and Jews and past president of the Menorah Lodge of B'nai Brith. He was a panelist on a weekly radio show fashioned after the then popular nationally broadcast entitled "Information Please", but on a local level.
