Mr. Datnoff was owner of Gilio's Italian Eatery and a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate. He also was a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law and graduated from University of Belgium. He was a 1964 exchange student to England and was a Hickory native.
Survivors are his wife Rochelle; daughter, Emily Datnoff; parents, Philip and Gwendolyn Datnoff of Hickory; brother, Lawrence Datnoff of West Palm Beach, Fla.
