Jacob H. Malenovsky, of 2845 Chew St., Allentown, one of the organizers of the Sheftel & Malenovsky Textile Waste Co., Allentown, died yesterday at his home following a long illness,
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Elias and Hinda (Lebovsky) Malenovsky.
He retired seven years ago.
Malenovsky was a member of Temple Beth-El and several Jewish organizations.
Surviving are his widow Lillian R. (Flax) Malenovsky; three daughters, Shirley wife of Bernhard Halperin Rose M., wife of Dr. Joseph Goldstone and Pearle E., wife of Harold Block, all of Allentown; a son, Robert at home; a brother, Abraham of Allentown; a sister, Sarah, wife of Abraham Sheftel of Allentown, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Bachman Funeral Home, 1030 Walnut St., Allentown. |

Dr. Joseph Goldstone. 69, of Allentown, died Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. He was the husband of Rose (Malenovsky) Goldstone. They were married 45 years in May.
A 1944 graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Philadelphia, he was a dentist in Slatington for 43 years, retiring in 1986. He received the title of doctor of medical dentistry.
Born in Blakeley, he was a son of the late Jacob D. and Rose (Baldinger) Goldstone.
He was a member of Temple Beth El, Allentown, where he served on the board of directors and the Ritual Committee.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was past president of the Slatington Rotary Club, a charter member of the Maimonides Society of the Jewish Community Center, and a volunteer for Jewish Family Service, Allentown.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Brinda R., wife of Yaacov Tagar of Kfar Mlal, Israel, and Lorie A., wife of David Benitah of Stoughton, Mass.; son, Roy of Olney, Md.; brother. Dr. Sheldon of Scranton; sister, Bernice Labinson of Fort Lee, N.J.; and six grandchildren.
Services: 12:30 p.m. today in the synagogue. Arrangements, Bach-man Funeral Home, 1030 Walnut St., Allentown. |
