George D. Leavitt George D. Leavitt, 63, of 40 Shaw st., West Roxbury, associated with the Boston Assessors office for the past 34 years, died suddenly Saturday night at Norwood Hospital of a heart attack. Mr. Leavitt was driving his car from Providence when stricken. He came to America from Poland at the age of 13 and was graduated from Boston university in 1924. He leaves a wife, Kate (Gamrin); three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Brier of Needham Heights; Mrs. Beverly Goffin of Ashland, Ky.; Mrs. Sophie Schlafman of Haverhill; a mother, Mrs. Sarah Leavitt of Haverhill; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Baker of Rumford, R.I., and Mrs. Matilda Fox of East Providence, and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 today at Stanetsky memorial chapels, 1868 Beacon St., Brookline.

LEAVITT - Entered into rest Feb. 14, Kate (Gamrin), late of Dedham. Beloved wife of the late George D. Devoted mother of Charlotte Brier of Needham and Beverly Olans of Chestnut Hill. Loving sister of Dorothy Steinberg of South Brookline, Frances Hamburger of Revere, Alice Ceder of Winthrop, Eli Gamrin of Maiden, Abraham Gamrin of West Roxbury, Lena Rubin of Newton, and Marcia Greenberg of Boynton Beach, FL. Dear grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE on Fri., Feb. 16 at 2 pm. Memorial observance through Mon. evening will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Olans, 80 Payson Rd., South Brookline. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be donated to the charity of your choice.
