On March 10, 1987, FREDERICK P., beloved husband of the late Rita L. Winner (nee Rosenberg), devoted father Marc M. Winner, Mrs. Jane Bronstein and Mrs. Nancy Asch, beloved brother of Seymour Winner, loving grandfather of Michael Bronstein, Matthew and Jennifer Asch.
Services and interment will be held a Oheb Shalom Memorial Park, Berrymans lane, Reisterstown Md on Wednesday, March 11 at 11 A.M. Please omit flowers. Liquor executive
Frederick P. Winner, chairman of the boards of beer and liquor distributing companies he started more than 25 years ago, died March 10 at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a short illness.
For two years, Mr. Winner, who was 68 and lived on Slade Avenue, had been chairman of the boards of Frederick P. WinnerLtd., which he started in 1959, and Winner Distributing Co., which he started the next year. Earlier, he was president of the companies.
He had been in the liquor business since 1940, as a broker, selling to wholesalers, before starting his own company.
He was one of the first wholesalers in the country to install his own data-processing system and, later, a computer system.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Winner was a graduate of City College.
His wife, the former Rita L. Rosenberg, died in 1985.
He is survived by a son, Marc M. Winner of Rockland; two daughters, Jane Bronstein of Pikesville and Nancy Asch of the Fort Garrison area; a brother, Seymour Winner of the Pikesville area; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. Winner were held March 11 at Oheb Shalom Memorial Park. |
