The marriage of Miss Isabel R. Jacobs of New York to Mr. Raymond T. Anixter, attorney of San Francisco, was solemnized Sunday evening, October 4, in the Red Room of the Fairmont Hotel, with Rev. Dr. Burstein officiating. Mr. Howard Berg acted as best man and the bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Max Jacobs.
Large antique bowls of white chrysanthemums and tiger lilies, autumn leaves and red and gold chrysanthemums adorned an improvised altar.
The bride's gown was white satin and a long tulle veil trimmed with orange blossoms completed the ensemble. She carried lillies of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. Harold Haas of Sacramento, wore a chiffon gown of blue and carried pale yellow roses, while the bridesmaid, Miss Hazel Feldheym, wore maize chiffon with a bouquet of deep yellow roses. Mrs. Max Jacobs, mother of the bride, was gowned in peacock blue velvet with silver trimmings and Mrs. Anixter, the bridegroom's mother, wore Burgundy velvet with a yoke of beads and brilliants.
About sixty friends and relatives of the families were present at the dinner dance which followed the ceremony. |
