Can I register on The Markow Family Tree? |
The Markow Family Tree Privacy Policy |
Registration on this site is only available to people with an identifiable link to one or more of the families who are a part of the Markow Family Tree.
The requirements for registration are:
- You should be a relative, albeit a distant cousin in many cases, but related to someone already listed OR someone connected to one of our families who should be listed on the site.
- When you apply to register you MUST provide details of exactly how you link to that peson, and details of all ancestors between them and you.
- You should be prepared to contribute to the site, including providing personal information as well as modifications and additions to the data. The MINIMUM requirement is sufficient links to show yourself on the tree.
- You must agree to protect the privacy of the data of all living persons on the site. Violations will lead to immediate termination of access privileges and could be cause for legal action.
If you are unsure whether you are a 'relative' contact us here, so we can help you identify any possible connection. We are unable to establish full access to the site until that is confirmed.
REMEMBER: you do NOT need to register at all if you only want to browse the site or search for information about long-decesased relatives.
Privacy is a very important issue, especially in the Family tree sections where information about individual people is stored.
Our current policy is to make available to casual visitors ONLY information related to people either known to have died more than 20 years ago, or assumed to be dead on the basis that their birth occurred more than 120 years ago. Only registered users are able to see information about living people, and registration is strictly limited to verified family members only.
